‘Why the lucky stiff‘ – best known for his poignant guide to ruby has unveiled his secret project: Hackety Hack: the Coder’s Starter Kit. I can’t wait to check it out… though we’re limited to a windows environment at present. I’m excited because of the explicit intent to make programming more accessible to youth.
Wow! Great work why! I just went through the seven lessons… it’s a great introduction to coding and to open source culture and values.
One aspect of that is sharing code. My user account on Hackety Hack is wry.
I’ll have to post more on the experience.
Keep in mind it currently version .4 on it’s way to version 1.0 … so there are some kins to be worked out and more lessons on the way.
